Board Member Spotlight: Danielle Senour

Meet Danielle, Technology Consultant at EY

What do you love most about your job?

When I think about what energizes me to show up to work each day, the one thing that always comes to mind is the people! One of the greatest blessings to my career has been the colleagues and clients that I get to surround myself with each day. Every project, company, and industry that I am exposed to is an opportunity to solve new and exciting problems, form amazing new relationships, and leverage those relationships to achieve lasting impacts together. During my whole career at EY, I have been lucky enough to be surrounded by mentors, sponsors, and teammates at all levels who have constantly inspired me to learn, grow, and lead in as many capacities as I can. Because of this atmosphere, I love showing up to my job each day!

How have other women helped shape your career?

Throughout my whole life, there have been prominent female figures that have helped me get to the next step in each stage of my life. As an athlete growing up and in college, I was blessed to automatically have a team of 30 women who challenged each other to get better every day that we stepped onto the field. In the classroom, I made sure to do the same, finding a group of women in the business school who had big dreams and a contagious energy to keep growing. My sophomore year, I was introduced to my first female mentors in the workplace through the Drexel co-op program at Comcast. Little would I know then, but the women who I met that year formed what my career would become four years later. My manager made me fall in love with the Product space, she introduced me to her mentor who got me involved with WICT, and the woman who sat across from me became a close friend and one of my biggest role models at EY. Every door that a woman has opened for me to-date has been a domino effect that formed the foundation of everything I love about my career right now.

Outside of work, what’s something you are passionate about?

Outside of work, I am very passionate about health and fitness. I have always found that when I feel the best mentally and physically, I always bring the best version of myself in relationships and the workplace. Last year I even worked as a workout instructor on the side, teaching spin, strength, and yoga! One of my favorite parts of being a coach in class was being a support system for others in their health journey, and being a consistent outlet they can look forward to despite what is going on from 9-5. I tried to make classes fun and give people a space where they can focus fully on themselves, something that has become harder to do as life and work continue to blend more and more together.

What do you value most about your membership with The WICT Network?

My membership with the WICT Network has given me more than I ever knew I could get out of it. I have met the most amazing people and have been exposed to opportunities that I would not have been within my own company. As a member of the Board, it has been so much fun to create the Level Up podcast with my co-host Ricki, allowing us to increase the variety of content we create, as well as increase the flexibility of when/how we reach our members. I always loved attending the WICT events as a member, and it has been so much fun finding new ways to curate programming for our members that increases connection and makes lasting relationships across the industry. With the variety of opportunities within WICT, I have always found that there is something for everyone, no matter what stage of their professional journey they are in.
