What do you love most about your job?
One of the things I love most about my job is that no two days are the same. While we have some recurring processes, there is always a new initiative or business question we are trying to solve, so I am constantly learning and growing in my role.
What are the biggest obstacles you see for young women in the media, entertainment and/or technology industries?
Women are still underrepresented in leadership, and it’s likely most of us will encounter gender bias throughout our careers. As a result, young women may doubt their abilities more than their male counterparts. To overcome this, it’s crucial we empower ourselves and each other to go for that promotion, take initiative to lead a new project or team, and feel comfortable claiming our seat at the table.
What do you value most about your membership with The WICT Network?
WICT has provided a valuable network and relationships for sure, but also being part of the board has opened doors to new experiences and skills that I may not have otherwise encountered in my regular job. It has pushed me beyond my comfort zone and made me a more confident leader.
